In my family, we are so hooked on dark chocolate that we have a “chocolate drawer” in our kitchen! Truth!!!

And because I am all about how to nourish our bodies and minds, I thought I should share a few chocolate facts so that you, too, can enjoy this miraculously yummy food without even a trace of guilt!

My recipes call specifically for raw cacao. Raw cacao powder is made by cold-pressing unroasted cocoa beans. This process keeps the living enzymes in the cocoa and removes the fat.

DID YOU KNOW THAT RAW CACAO:

Has 40 times the number of antioxidants as blueberries!

A proven source of bliss or love chemicals like serotonin and dopamine, raw cacao can be associated with cozy warm feelings of happiness and well-being, and can even alleviate depression.
